ADAGES AND PROVERBS

Definition

Adages and Proverbs are forms of everyday expressions that have deeper meanings than what is simply read. “Out of sight out of mind” is a popular adage that expresses how people are not usually concerned about things that aren’t directly in front of them. “It’s no use locking the stable door after the horse has bolted.” is a common proverb signifying that one can’t prevent a mistake that has already happened.
