How to use KOOLriculum

Pick your role to jump to your guide.

For students

Watch songs, learn the meaning of each topic, and practice.

Sign in
Click Login at the top. Use the email and password your teacher or parent set up, or click Forgot password to make a new one.

Join your class
On your Dashboard, type the class code from your teacher into the Join a class box and click Join.

Open your classroom
Click your classroom name in the white bar at the top, or under Back to my classroom on the Dashboard.

Play a playlist
Inside your classroom, open a playlist your teacher made and click a song to watch the music video.

Learn the topic
Each song page shows the definition, examples of how it works in everyday life, and the lyrics. Use the My classroom button to go back.

Explore on your own
Open Song Library to search all songs by subject, grade, audience or standard.

Sign in and join your school
If your school uses KOOLriculum, enter the school code under Join your school, choose I'm a teacher and click Join. Your school admin will activate you.

Create a classroom
On the Dashboard, click New classroom, give it a name and description, and click Create. Each classroom gets its own class code.

Share the class code
The code is shown on each classroom card. Give it to students so they can join from their Dashboard.

Build playlists
Open a classroom, create a playlist, then click + Songs. Filter by standard with the searchable list to find songs that match your lesson.

Teach with the songs
Play songs from the playlist in class. Each song page has the definition, everyday examples, and lyrics.

Know your limits
Classroom Subscription: 1 classroom, up to 10 playlists and 31 accounts. Full School Site License: unlimited.

Manage your school, its teachers and its students.

Open the school dashboard
On your Dashboard, find your school and click School dashboard.

Share the school code
Give the school code to teachers and students. They enter it under Join your school on their Dashboard.

Activate members
New members wait for approval. Activate them from the school dashboard so they can use the site.

Add many students at once
Use the bulk student tool on the school dashboard to create several student accounts in one step.

Check your plan
Your Dashboard shows your plan, its end date, and how many classrooms, playlists and accounts you are using.

Start more schools
Full School Site License holders can create additional schools using Start a school on the Dashboard.
