Sign inDEFINITION:
The thesis statement is that sentence or two in your text that includes the focus of your essay and expresses what the essay is going to be about. Although you would certainly be able to write a good essay without a thesis statement, the lack of a thesis statement may well be a symptom of an essay affected by a lack of focus. Numerous writers think of a thesis statement as an umbrella: everything you write in your essay has to fit under it.
HOW TO:
The purpose of the thesis statement is to give order both to the writer and to the reader. It does this by plainly stating the key claim that a piece of writing will try to support. The writer is careful in the thesis statement to convey a paper’s argument with precision that clarifies and focuses the direction of the paper.
Everyday Use:
Thesis Statements are used every day in reading and writing and daily conversation.
Lyrics
What’s the thesis statement?
What’s the thesis statement?
It’s the focus of an essay, found in the beginning
And it tells you what’s the point so you understand the ending
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
What I know, don’t play around
See the focus easily found
Ain’t no way to come back later
I’m the man around my town
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
Let’s go
State your claim!
What’s your agreement?
That’s your thesis statement, even off the conclusions
Since I’m focused, don’t confuse it
For example: if we’re tested, let’s say I aced them all
Then after that I give details with my scores and all
Don’t be on pause see that first one was my point
See that first one was my meaning, I can’t ever stop the dreaming, No!
Once you get that you can freshly build on thinking slow or tell the story, find the purpose then you’re good to go
Thesis statement tells it all, sums it up at the same time
If you find a good one, you can learn a lot in one line
Ain’t no looking back, it’s your focus it’s a wrap
Make your goal your thesis statement, then you build on top of that
It’s the focus of an essay, found in the beginning
And it tells you what’s the point so you understand the ending
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
What I know, don’t play around
See the focus easily found
Ain’t no way to come back later
I’m the man around my town
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
When you make a thesis statement please avoid direct quotes
Use your own views, own mind maybe own jokes, own meaning, own takes ain’t no wrong in original
You can even hear or omit a song that you’re listening to
Peek a boo thesis statement true that’s debatable
Should the word tomato be a vegie or a fruit
Always make some sort of claim that we all dispute
Road map or foil paper, that ain’t nothing new and it helps the reader too
They interpret subject matter, that’s discussion from your standpoint
That’s your stage that you can stand on
That’s an easy bucket and one, we can represent for Travon
We can learn this for ourselves, Thesis statement that’s my bis-oint
(Wait a minute, did we really just say bis-oint)
It’s the focus of an essay, found in the beginning
And it tells you what’s the point so you understand the ending
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
It’s the thesis statement, yeah
Its’s the thesis statement, yeah
What I know, don’t play around
See the focus easily found
Ain’t no way to come back later
I’m the man around my town
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
That’s my thesis statement, yeah
