Skit Measurements
Measurement…measuring is used to tell
How long, how high, how wide
How heavy or how far something is
Liquids are measured in fluid ounces
The smallest measurement of liquids
Cups, pints, quarts, and gallons
Like the gallon of milk mom buys at the store
Weight is measured in ounces, pounds, and tons
Like how big or how heavy something is
For example, how much do you weigh?
Well I am only 90 pounds (laughter)
Length how long something is
How wide or how high is measured in
Inches, feet, yards and miles
Temperature how hot or how cold something is
That’s measured in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit
Like how hot it is outside
It’s 100 degrees Fahrenheit
It’s another number in Celsius but we’ll over that in the next
lesson
