An interjection is one of the eight main parts of speech, along with verbs, nouns, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions and conjunctions. Some believe that interjections are the least important part of speech. This is because interjections are not generally needed in order to clarify the meaning of a sentence.
HOW TO:
Interjections are utilized express strong feeling or sudden emotion. They are included in a sentence (typically at the start) to express a sentiment such as surprise, disgust, joy, excitement, or eagerness. Hey! Get out the car! Oh, that is a treat. Good! Now we can move in. Wow, that was close
Everyday Use:
Interjections are used every day in reading and writing and daily conversation.
Lyrics
Interjections
A word that comes before the sentence to express emotion
Usually used with an exclamation point or a comma
Let me interject
Eh!
Let me interject
Yo!
Let me interject
Hey!
Let me interject
Whoa!
Let me interject
Yeah
Let me interject
Oh!
Let me interject
Ah! – Interjections
Interject and tell them how you feel right before you say your sentence like um, oh, for real
Yep, interjections come before the sentence used to express emotion like when you on a roller coaster and you yell
Yikes! I’m scared
Hey! Can I have some?
Um, I don’t think so
Yo! Man I want to go
What! Are you crazy dude?
Whoa! On that attitude
Ouch! Ma, that really hurts
Use it in a sentence first
Use it with an exclamation point when you feeling excited
But when you’re not hype then you’re using a comma
Cause there ain’t no drama
Like when you say well, I don’t understand
Hey, crank it up again’.
