When adding decimals it is important that we remember to write the numbers down with the decimals lined up one above the other. Another thing to remember is that when we add numbers with decimals, we use column addition. We can use a zero so that the numbers may be the same length in certain cases, but all the zero does is show that there is no value at that decimal place.
