Okay guys, let’s learn some quick tips on multiplying
Have you listened to your counting by numbers songs 1-12?
Well if you have not you must
For they are simply your time tables
So listen to your number counting songs
It tells what orders the numbers come in
Without having the problems to work
Learn them and you will know your time tables
And all you have to do is multiply
Now, multiplying is like adding numbers many times
Because multi means many as in Multi-ply
Ok for example, when you multiply the sign you’ll use is a little x
That tells you to multiply the numbers together
Let’s take 3x5 - 3x5 is 15 again
Listen to your counting by numbers song
For this one you’ll listen to your counting by 5
And your counting by 3 song
Moving along, 3x5 is like adding three five times
3+3+3+3+3 yep just adding
Like 3+3 = 6 plus 3 more is 9 plus 3 more is 12
Plus 3 more is 15
But you’re not going to want to do this every time as the numbers get bigger
Cause they do get bigger as you go along
Or…we could add five three times
5+5 =10 plus 5 more is 15
Every number can be multiplied by every number
Let’s try again 2x7 =14
You can first listen to your count by 7 and count by 2 songs
Or since 2x7 is saying you’re either adding seven two times
That’s 7+7=14 or you will add two seven times
That is 2+2+2+2+2+2+2 work it out you’ll get 14
Remember learn your counting by number songs
Now… here’s some more lessons on multiplying
