Tick, toc (repeat 12x)
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
Ima show y'all how to read a clock
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
Ima show y'all how to read a clock
First thing you do is locate the hour hand
The hour hand is the shorter of the two clock hands
It moves from one clock number to the next one
Until it’s a full rotation
One and each and every clock it's 12 hours
Many times it don’t point exactly to that number
In that case look at that number it was as
Most recently, most recently
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
Ima show y'all how to read a clock
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
Ima show y'all how to read a clock
Now let’s talk about the minute hand. The minute hand is longer of the two clock hands
It points to the minutes that has passed since the new hour began and an hour makes one full rotation
That means the number of minutes is a multiple of 5
5, 10,15,2025,30,35,40 etc. etc.
Now here comes the example:
If the minute hand is pointing to the one you would say
5 minutes, you would say 5 minutes
If the minute hand is pointing to the 6
You would say 30 minutes, 30 minutes
If the short hand is on the 2 and the longer hand is on the 6
The time now is 2:30, 2:30
If the short hand is on the 10 and the longer hand is on the 12
The time now is 10 o’clock
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
I'ma show y'all how to read a clock
Tick, toc, Tick toc, Tick toc
Ima show y'all how to read a clock
